Dr Christian Fernandez
My Chiropractic journey started when I was a young boy of 6 and I started working on my family members to help them with their aches and pains. I would massage and rub and give them some relief. They even paid me! So my family always knew I was going to use my hands to help people long before I did. I went on to get a lot of help from Chiropractic treatment during my active teenage years as a decathlete on the Norwegian Junior National Team. I later made the choice to travel around the world to study Chiropractic in Sydney at Macquarie University. I have since practiced in Norway and Tasmania before moving back to Sydney to join the excellent team at NeuroBalance Chiropractic.
As a Sports Chiropractor I look at each individual body as a unique system that requires a specific approach to solve your particular issue. I can proudly say after treating thousands of patients that I have never treated 2 people in the same way. That means that I assess the whole body to try and find causal factors for your problem and implement a whole range of treatment approaches that best align with your preferences to get you active, fit and happy as quickly as possible.
To achieve this I utilise dry needling, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM), trigger point massage, active and passive soft tissue releases, and of course joint mobilisation and manipulation. In addition I look at eliminating triggers through education and combined with advice on exercise/movement, diet/hydration, ergonomics, foot wear, stress management and so much more, together we are able to assist you to achieve your goals, be it pain relief, running a marathon or anything in between. I am very passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities and I hope to help the local community in any way I can.
If you think you or someone you know could benefit from my services, I am at Brookvale on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. Please call the practice on (02) 9938 5456 to arrange a suitable time.
